Hamilton Tokenote® Paper Tokens

First introduced in 1988, Hamilton "Tokenote®" Paper Tokens can turn your carwash change machine, token vendor, or autocashier into an effective marketing tool. Tokenotes® are the same size as a dollar bill and are accepted the same as paper currency. The operator programs the Tokenote® to have almost any value they care to give it*. Hamilton bill acceptors can recognize up to 16 different Tokenote® codes. Great for carwash Fleet accounts!

Persuading potential customers in your market to visit your new facility can sometimes be difficult. Special inducements may be necessary to keep customers returning on a regular basis.

The Hamilton Tokenote® accepting AutoCashier will provide the basis for a long term, highly profitable marketing program. The ACW has the capability of accepting up to sixteen uniquely coded Tokenote® with as many as five different dollar values. With hundreds of possible combinations, Tokenote® and the Auto Cashier provide virtually unlimited marketing potential.

Your custom imprinted Tokenotes®, when received by a current or new customer, will provide monetary benefit and inducement to use your facility. Additional incentive is created by imprinting the Tokenote® with the features and benefits of your car wash. For example, assign a value (such as $1.00) to a series of Tokenotes®. When inserted in the ACW, the patron receives credit for the value of the Tokenotes® and inserts currency for the balance of the wash price.

Special features of your wash, such as "touchless", "spot free", "under carriage wash", "open 24 hours" - can also be imprinted on your Tokenotes®.

As of Spring 2002, car wash operators will be able to program their Gold Line Autocashier to accept Tokenote® Coupons for a specified wash. For example, an operator can make a Tokenote® worth $1.00 off the highest priced wash, 75 cents off wash #2, 50 cents off wash #3, and 25 cents off wash #4.

This is achieved by programming the "coupon discounts" for the specified Tokenote® value.

Suggested Distribution Methods

1. Mail Tokenotes® in "coupon packs" to your business' Zip Code.
2. Give Tokenotes® to area restaurants and ask them to include one with each purchase.
3. Contact area charities or youth groups who regularly conduct car washes for fund raising projects. The group sells the Tokenotes® to raise funds and bring you future customers.
4. Have Tokenotes® distributed in newspapers and/or give away advertising books and flyers. You can usually designate the carrier routes to be used.
5. Distribute through sales marketing companies which conduct door-to-door advertising drop-offs.
6. Work with gas station and oil change operators and give them "$1.00 Off" Tokenote® to pass along to their customers.
7. Sell Tokenotes® at a discount to car insurance agents and auto dealers who will give them to their customers.
8. Tokenotes® can be sold at a discount to fleet operators such as police departments, taxi companies, utility companies, post office, limousine operators, auto dealers and other large fleet services.
